In a desert, it can be difficult to find what you think you need to be satisfied—and deserts come in all shapes and sizes. If you think about a desert as a situation in which it’s difficult to find what you think you need to be satisfied, you could be in a deserted place even when there’s no physical desert in sight. Sometimes, our most deserted places aren’t actually places at all.
So how does a disciple of Jesus Christ remain faithful in the deserted places?
